1) Manna on Meridian fills weekend food gap for Tallahassee families. The all-volunteer food distribution at Faith Presbyterian Church serves more than 2,100 neighbors each month, with 56% of those served being children and seniors.
2) Bainbridge's Little Free Library network expands. For 17-year-old Elizabeth Adams, the expansion is personal. As she prepares for college, she's donated about 20 books to Little Free Libraries in Bainbridge.
3) Hayden Panettiere, ‘Nashville’ and ‘Heroes’ actress, dies at 36, her father confirms. There were no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances, police said, adding they were called to the apartment complex by an acquaintance of Panettiere who called 911.
4) New tariffs on $28 billion in Canadian goods set to go into effect this week. The tariffs would impose a 50% rate on Canadian goods, including dairy, cement, alcohol, hockey sticks, and more.
